Ashwin Sanghi Books

1. Chanakya's Chant Beautifully written work of fiction. The two stories go in parallel and the present day story is more fascinating. This book nicely portrays the politics combined with the greediness. In the dirty world of politics, most of the incidents are correlated. The various scandals and schemes are quite interrelated. In the modern part, the victories seem to be achieved quite easily which does not look much practical. The characters of Chanakya and Gangasagar matches and there are various twists and turns while achieving their goals.

Linda Goodman Books

1. Linda Goodman Sun Signs This book describes a lot regarding various sun signs in a very interesting way even if you do not want to believe it sometimes.   It becomes very interesting when a person reads it and matches his or her qualities. It also defines the nature and characteristics of water, air and earth signs.  As it was written a lot of years ago, things have changed greatly.   It is based on people belief on astrology.  Some of the points that I found interesting were like : -a Capricorn child is very serious in his childhood and when his age grows, he becomes more childish.  it's a reverse aging process. -Piscean has qualities of all the sun signs. -Taurus have great success when they invest in land and properties. -a Cancerian boss always expects his employees to be punctual and obedient. -Most twins are born in Gemini sun signs. -Leos have a quite extravagant lifestyle. -Taurus and Cancerian always want to be liked by people....

A Thousand Splendid Suns It’s a kind of book that could make you cry. It’s the story of uneducated, poor women who has to face the hardships in her life. It shows how women had to go through the terrors in Afghanistan. The characters of Mariam and Laila are quite impressive and look very realistic. They face all types of physical abuse and suffer so much violence. They also witness the ugliness of war and grieve for lost ones. This is also happening in many parts of the world. The unhappy abusive marriages, unfair practices, and unpleasant environments had made their life a blunder.

Lee Harper Books

Go set a watchman Review Harper Lee had all the charm of telling her stories in a simple way.   It's just like watching a cool movie in the times during the black and white decade of 50's. During the teenage age every person has individual opinions but when they grow up as an adult it is the duty of elders to develop the growing child into a strong character with free thinking. The main character in the novel, the girl Jean Louise cools down when someone informs her that she has always relied on her father as a model for right or wrong but now she has begun developing a conscience of her own. On hearing this Jean Louise goes to meet her father Atticus at work and asks for his forgiveness but he says that he is proud of her for defending what she believes is right. John Grisham Books

A time to kill One of the finest thriller novel by John Grisham. Worth Reading !!! The Firm The firm is a great legal thriller. It shows good examples of how large firms can blackmail and manipulate their employees, how people fight for the justice where there is an environment of fraud and disloyalty. The Pelican Brief Full of suspense and entertaining. The thriller that insists the reader to keep turning the pages until the end of the book. Well done..!!!. the book keeps the interest page after page. Gray Mountain The story is interesting but it is not John Grisham's finest work like his earlier novels pelican brief and the rainmaker etc. You can not call it as a legal thriller and it would be a big disappointment if any reader likes to see that aspect.
